Meeting Aalborg ✔

Hitchhiking from Hamburg to Aalborg- such an amazing experience, everybody was so polite, and helpful. We were picked up immediately every time and the drivers always tried to give us instructions on how to go here and there. Both the German and Danish drivers were awesome!!! After 6ish hours, I arrived in Aalborg and was hosted by one of my best friends, I got to know the city pretty well, the culture, some of the Viking’s history, and I saw a pet ferret for the first time ;P

I like the idea of having a second hand store and sending the money to charity.. Aalborg is full of these little stores!!! Something about the people there… Danish people are respectful, they won’t comment on how you look or what you wear etc… they won’t make you feel uncomfortable, they just don’t care…  In Danish society there are specific ‘’rules’’ and everybody follows them,( don’t you dare J-walk )… If you leave your camera, laptop etc… somewhere, no worries… when you return you will find it, (This is not a recommendation though) :)

One last thing before I start sharing photos, if you visit cities in Denmark and you are not familiar with the area, be prepared, Denmark is quite a pricy country ! ! !

A little bit of Viking life . . .

Ruins of Viking graves

Houses, tools, jewelry . . .

Next to where I was staying (Hasseris) there was an old mine, which is now a neat lake and an important aqua-biotope and a very nice recreation place for swimming fishing and walking

One thing, be aware of this plant,,,, the area around the lake is full of it and it is toxic!

You do not touch it ! ! !

And somewhere here,,, we are going to Copenhagen
