DOX. Art Brut
Visiting
the DOX center for contemporary art, I saw the exhibition ART BRUT LIFE, which
includes more than 300, predominantly contemporary,
pieces of Art Brut, part of ‘’The Bruno
Decharme Collection’’ the French collector Bruno Decharme. His collection consists
of 3500 pieces by 300 artists worldwide
Some of the artists reshape their living spaces with
‘’anarchitectures’’, they create utopian urban projects. Other artists create magical objects, healing machines,
action paintings or works resembling scientific projects in order to explore
their bodies, to reconcile with traumatic experiences or to eternalize moments
of pleasure. This collection includes letters, diaries and encoded reports
through which artists communicate with themselves and their surroundings,
systematic ideas for new religions and mythologies, or messianic projects for
controlling the weather, curing the population or even saving the planet
One of my
favorite pieces was the two circles made of numbers In each circle there was
one number for every day of the life of
Lubos Plny’s mom and dad and in the center the ashes of his mom and dad
