DIY #1
RING BOX WITH LID
You can
make a box of maquete paper (3mm) for your ring no problem!!!, following the
next steps. The dimensions of this box are 5X4X3cm and for the lid 5.6X4.6X1cm.
It is important to draw the dotted lines with 3mm width (like the width of the
maquette paper) as they are on the plan

Watch out for
the little details!
The point
of the gap is for the box and lid to fold inward
Now the box
and lid are ready. Let’s play with the inside part of the box!!! Chose some
piece of fabric of your liking and cut 2 pieces let’ say ‘’slightly’’ bigger than
the area of the bottom of the box each one
Then you
roll the first piece of fabric, you glue the bottom part like the photo and you
fill it with cotton and you glue the edges. Repeat this for the second piece of
fabric and your little cushions are ready!!
*you can use wood glue (atlacoll)
So, now you
put some glue on the back side and in the sides of the cushions and you glue in
on the box. Add some glue in the edges of the box and lid and they are
basically ready
If you want
to make your box prettier you can add some knitted chain on the top edge or
just to paint it
You can
wrap around the box and the lid with some kind of paper i.e banana paper, craft
paper I chose paper that you use in free drawing because I liked its texture
and voila !!!
